Our community library was created to improve access to books and support literacy in Kafou Fèy. The original announcement credits Geojada Antoine with organizing the initiative and describes the opening as a milestone for the neighborhood.
At its launch, community members were encouraged to contribute a book in exchange for a ten-month membership. The project also received coverage in the Haitian newspaper Le Nouvelliste.
